Tatamagouche Creamery Square

Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia,
Concept Design 2003

The project vision was to create a tourist destination by grouping a number of complementary activities in one location.

We worked with a variety of community interests as well as a museum designer to create a concept site plan and images. The design utilizes the best functional and economical use of the existing buildings on the site.

The historic creamery building will house a series of small museum collections, the large shed is transformed into a farmers' market and the old ice house will be an art gallery/shop.

A new building to accommodate performing arts and community events completes the square. The site plan accentuates connections to existing trails and the waterfront.
